Merry Christmas... I LOVE YOU!!!!!! GREAT ARTWORK by the way.
Peace on Earth? Since we can't have THAT, original art is WONDERFUL! I love that top one - looks like redwood . . . Wonderful stuff, both of them!
Gospel of Thomas? I have skimmed it, poorly organized, but several of "apocryphal" Gospels helpm fill in some things, such as where we get the names of Mary's mother and father. Is it Spirit- inspired? I haven't a clue. It is not prohibioted reading, tho'! I'll read it again today. I have to admit I enjoy the infancy Gospel (forget what it's called) about the childhood of Jesus, factual or not.
Here is an OLD (1909) but interesting article from the OLD Catholic Encyclopedia (also 1909) about all of the Gospels, including mention of the 'apocryphal gospels'. I have them in two different books. This is old-style stuff so it may be a bit off-putting not to mention stiffly written, altho' always interesting!. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/06655b.htm
wow what great presents you got. Awesome. Happy Holidays.
