rdale1 Maybe a sparrow?
Misshomespun it's bigger than a sparrow, maybe the size of a Cardinal or a bit larger.
rdale1 If it's that big it's probably a Wood Thrush. Love you.
dizzy Fantastic capture!!
tomswift46 Lovely catch! Just now I was standing next to our feeder throwing the frisbee for Melys and I heard a quick buzz...the hummingbird buzzed in and out...
Beautiful bird!!! Thrushes are not usuallyy so dramatically marked! I agree with Roger, must be a wood thrush of some kind. I can't find a bird of that size whose markings come closer than a wood thrush or a Swainson's thrush (about the size of a robin, which is also a thrush). Great capture!!!
Of course we could say it was a NEW bird and name it after YOU! The "MissA Thrush", aka "muscicapidae (thrush family) catharsus (spotted) missa"!!! ;D (No, I ain't that smart, I looked the names up in my birding books!)
