With only two families there was no news but I bet they wet their houses down and got out. The fire was put out very fast, thank the Good Lord. The people in the brown house we sort of know as some of their cattle came allll the weay here to 'visit" one interesting morning! see my note re the new bird!! "MissA Spotted Thrush"! :)
I have never caught one even this well!! - - and we don't have any in this area. Maybe if we move to the mountains we wouild get some.
Maybe a mile or two away? (the fire)

Good luck with the kitten, our biggest and oldest cat Travis was a foundling not much older than the one you have. A nice woman hand-raised him and his sister. One unfortunate result was they were not "naturally" afraid, his sister got trampled by a loose horse at the barn I boarded at then. So I adopted Travis and took him home - more than 10 years ago!

Great catch!
I am sorry about the kitten. It may be more merciful to put the poor thing to sleep, but if a child wqants to try to help it, it is a good lesson for the child (I forgot the name already, I am sorry, my short-term memory is very bad.) I was that way, I wanted to be a vet like Lindsey, but I was too "tender hearted" - I could not stand to see the suffering! Brave Lindsey! We need vets like her!
LOL about Lindsey's hair color!!! She caught me! Did you see your "new" bird's name yet? (go to the photo of it!) ;)
