DonnaW Cool!! Does it work? I use table salt.
titawheeler cool pic! :)
Salt does work. The old saw about beer is true, but water works too if they are thirsty. It's not the beer, it's the fluid, they fall in and drown if you set it up right! Great pic, hate them thangs.
I REALLY enjoyed your shots of yourself in High School. Our high school did the same scummy thing with one black sweaer (I swear it looks identical!) and a single "pearl" on a chian. the omnly "optional" was the necklace, you culd waear one of you r own if "approved". Reallllly dumb since ours were in full color (1975) and our school colors were navy ,scarlet and gray. Why not a bnavy sweater?? Since I look pale as a ghost in black and jowly in that neckline, I passed.
I remember "ratting" - we called it teasing or backcombing. I never did it, too young, but my mom did (always youthful). Do you remeber the fad for streaked hair? (circa 1968) My mom came home one day w/o warning with a streaked "do", bouffant! We about DIED! She had the most beautiful AUBURN hair, and there she went and made it balck/grey streaked! Aged her ten years. but she kept it for over a year! Remember rattail combs?
jimvoves Good morning from Illinois. We are going to be warm and muggy today, very little rain this summer, things are brown and I wish for the fall. I am happy you like my small town pictures. My goal is to not post pictures of rich homes only, but of homes middle class Americans live in. I prefer homes with flowers and flags displayed, homes you can tell the owners have given a little touch of care and love.
