Yeah, a very good book for teaching/informing. Problem is most Americans under 30 don't read critically and as a result don't know or care when or what happened in the American Revolution, the Civil War, WWI or WWII.

I remember my father and my uncles being jailed for six weeks when I was about 8 years old. All they were doing was picketing. It was a tough time. We nearly starved until they were released.
I know. my mother's father used to be an organizer on the lines. He was at the mines many times, and each time he came back badly beaten, sometimes by bats, sometimes a shod foot. It never detered him. He kept on going back...State to state, for fellow worker after fellow worker. I'm glad he is not alive to see the state of unions today.

I have read this book, I even wrote a short story with the mine wars being the back story. I had to read it for an assigment for my WV history college class. I actually like the book. Obviously since I wrote a short story relating to it. Do we have a deadline as when to have it finished???
