I really feel for you guys out west. Mike said it was 103 yesterday and you have the same heat. Keep your animals cool and stay in most of the day. This should end soon for you guys. The weather people said we are to have a cool down by mid week. Me for now, well I am sitting in front of my AC and I have a big fan blowing. My dogs have cold water and I am playing on this computer. Bring on the snow

We put enough water out in the "ditch" in the drive-around (it's round, not a driveway) for the fground birds to bathe in, plus the bird bath, we have about 50 birds bathing. Ed hosed the horses down then fly spray, altho yesterday it got too hot for the flies! and the paddock also. They're under the huge shade trees. A/C for us, yay, so we're at 70 inside.

Heay, today will be cooler, "only" 109 but they keep raising it. I's 100 now and climbing fast(I like the new time thingie!) We LOVE the new house, can ya tell? lotsa nature, wqonderful home -- not many new pics to take inside 'cos we're stalled for money at the moment - STILL no IRS refund! plus poor Boss, yanno, but hey, it's OURS!

OK so I make mention I have a generator and we only used it once. Well a hour ago we lost power, could not work the electric range and water pump. Our TV started to smoke and some bulbs blew out. We turned off most items in the house after I cut the power to the house. tested the power at the meter and found one phase to be 132 volt and one phase at 41 volts. Took our generator out and started it got the electric range back on but found the TV does not work and Tom's central AC that is 240 volts not working. Decided that we should pull the generator and wait for Edison. It seems that things left on maybe gone while the items that were on are OK. We have one phase working so we at least have AC for now and this computer still works. Thank God I had it off when things went bad. Still have not checked my wife's computer. Waiting for Edison.

Items that were off maybe OK. We pulled the gen. because we did not want Edison saying we caused the burn out which we did not. Been to long in this business. Have a good day

OK found the problem, Edison found the problem. I have to say it took them a little over an hour to come out. That is not to bad with all the problems they are having with this heat. The transformer next to my home went bad. It did cause the Tivo and cable box to go bad, The TV has lines in it so we may have a problem with that. The guys they sent out were great. Now I do not see any other problems. The reason the transformer went bad was, it was full of mud and ANTS.

Good morning Diane, Cool shot. I'm doing fine, had Bible time at our church last week, and in the evening I was to tired to get online. Praying for cooler weather and rain for you. It is calling for the 90's here today, that's hot for the mountains of W.V. Have a nice day and stay cool. ;-)
