A word to my amigo’s
I wanted to remind you of a story in the bible in John chapter 6.
Jesus ORDERED the disciples into the boat and said I will meet you on the other side, the disciples hesitated because the wind was contrary and they would have to row against the wind instead of waiting till morning. After awhile a great storm arose and they feared for their lives, Jesus saw them and walked out to them. Now before I go on let me fill you in on some bible symbolism, the boat represents the church or the body of Christ, the water is the world or humanity, the wind is the enemy Satan. Also let me point out that Jesus had already promised that He would meet them on the other side, we also have promises to cling to in times of trouble. In the original Greek text it says that Jesus willed to walk past them, He hoped that they would have faith in His word but he had compassion on them when He saw them struggling. When they saw Him walking on the water they freaked out and they cried out, or in the Greek text they cried up to heaven as to ask the father to save them from this ghost or demon. The point here is that they didn’t recognize Jesus, He could see them from land so they could have seen him also had there eyes been on Him instead of their troubles.
Remember when you were a little child and your worldly father was with you how you were never afraid ? Our father in heaven is with us always and when we receive that truth we can walk through life’s storms with the same confidence we had when we were little and put all our trust in our daddy.
Some times we are tested or stretched so we will cling to the Father and grow in our faith, it is a process we must go through if we are going to be equipped to fulfill what the Lord has called us to do and the lord has called you or you wouldn’t be going through this.
Back to the story now, when Jesus reached the boat he spoke PEACE to the sea and rebuked the wind or he calmed the humanity around them and told the devil to shut up.
This is my prayer for you, that peace will enter your life and that the enemy will shut up.
That you will seek the one that loves you and find rest in His promises knowing that he will never fail you nor forsake you. That you know that you are mighty in Christ to do good works and that you have a calling you are being equipped for.
If these thing were not so there would be no conflict within you but you are worthy of the attack as Paul would say. You are also worthy of the task at hand or the Lord would not have put you through it.
When we first bought our home there was only a couple patches of grass in our yard, after thinking about it I decided not to water the grass but instead I would water the dirt around the grass causing the grass to come to the water. If the Lord were to bless us where we are we would not grow just as the grass would have been satisfied staying in its little patches if I watered it where it grew. We have the nicest yard in town because we withheld its blessings.

I would like to bring a word from the bible to my fotoamigo’s each Sunday in hopes it will bless some one, God bless you all: Pastor Mike
