Good morning amigos, I woke up this morning thinking “ Do we really know Christ?” let me explain, God is omni present and is with us in all that we do, He hears every thing we say and sees every thing we do, and yet we do and think things that we wouldn’t do in front of others. The word says “ don’t call Me Lord and not do the thing’s I tell you” why is it so much easier to sin in front of God then it is to sin in front of others? It is because those around us have become more real than Christ, we than become more concerned with what every one else thinks than what our Savior thinks. This is why God has been kicked out of schools and the government and is now being kicked out of churches. The Lord is slowly being replaced with the golden calf we talked about last week, as though He also is now changing His mind about what He wrote in the bible, God doesn’t change and neither does His word. Perhaps we are the ones that need to change and turn back to Him, the word says; if those who are called by my name will change their ways and cry out then I will heal their land”
When I was in high school in Detroit Michigan I belonged to the rifle club, we competed with other schools in marksman ship. We would bring our guns to school and keep them in our lockers. The entire time I and my brothers and sisters attended Warren High no one ever shot any one or committed suicide. The difference between now and then was that we prayed as a school and God was invited to be apart of our lives and apart of our school.
This seems to be the pattern every time we separate our selves from God in order not to offend some one. In doing so we remove the only true restrainer and protector. Elections, protests, laws, anger and money aren’t fixing the problems and apparently no one is seeing this. The word says that every king is appointed by God, good or bad. We need to know Christ better and call out to Him if we want a change in this land because I can promise you that God is not going to change.
I know that I need change in my life, I struggle daily with sin, with wrong thoughts, with complacency and apathy, this is whom I must concern myself with first if I am going to help others. The pointing of fingers will do nothing but compile the problems that already exist. Change me Lord.
