I drove to Parke county Indiana to see the cover bridges. The drive was over a hundred miles from my home. I took route 41 all the way down. I took my grandson and his girl friend along for the ride. We only saw 3 bridges. I later found out there are over twenty bridges around the county. Last April a fire bug who was out of jail for only 8 days for arson burn down a bridge that was built in about 1865. Hope they lock him up for years. I have my cousin from Ohio to thank for this long drive. I hope to go back in October when the trees change and it is cooler. Beautiful country we have. The following pictures are from this trip. I have a map I got from a very nice man of the bridges in the area. It was late in the day so we headed for home. If I can I will copy the map and post it. |
