Tonight my wife and I had pizza and I thought just how good Chicago style pizza is. The best, OK people from New York will disagree but what do they know. They put Pepperoni on pizza. The picture is from the internet and it is a deep dish pizza. I prefer thin crust myself with just Italian sausage and cheese. My wife order her half with sausage, cheese, green pepper, onion and Pepperoni. Oh how I wanted to throw up. I have travel all over this country and no where do people know what Italian sausage or beef is. In LA we ate at a Italian restaurant and I ask the waitress for Italian sausage with my spaghetti and she just look at me with wide open eyes. The rest of the country thinks a Italian beef sandwich is thick sliced beef on a bun. In Chicago it is thin sliced beef seasoned in garlic and italian seaonings and served on Italian bread. Come to Chicago have a good beef sandwich at Mr. Beef on north Orleans in fact make it a combination with beef and sausage. Have them put Giardiniera on it and enjoy. OK I am ready for your feelings on the best food that I have missed and we do not have here in Chicago. So we may not have the best sports teams, but we do have good food. |
