DuckBoy Episode #5
Wasn't I Here Already?
DuckBoy has been wandering for what seems like days. He goes round and round and round seeming to meet himself as pale reflection.The sign he saw gets closer and further...he skirts the grid many times,avoiding it and its dangers and boredom. He enters foggier areas and clearings. The sign may say "lost?", "loop", "PT Barnum lived here"...strange voices say "no exit' or "no exert"..are there others in here..he seems to have passed a dog rolling in snow..snow? It's Summer,last he knew...but seasons come and go in here...there was a slit of sunlight so strong he closed his eyes..oh,maybe that's when he ended up near the grid again...he thinks of her and her warm enticing feathers,her wings that enfolded...he must go on,he must avoid those weeds..probably tick infested...
Oh wait, there's the sign..what's it say? It's like New Jersey,he screams inwardly,the sign is obscured! |
