DuckBoy Episode #27: Escalator in the Brain Motel
What's Happening?
DuckBoy has seen the Woman of his Dreams and as she raised her swords a great wind came up and threw him beak over feather into a swirling static. He hears buzzing and clatter like wood and bricks flying thru the air. Nothing is under control. He feels himself losing it. Where is the Pond of his Youth, the Quiescent Quandry? "Who are the Brain Police" "Morning Morning feel so lonesome in the morning. Morning in the morning, the morning brings me grief". And yet, he sees someone in the distance , as if in the past. She seems to know the way. He hears her say, "Flash! Where are you going? Flash!"
He will follow her thru hills and dales.
He will follow the lines of static.
He is lost but on the move. He crosses rivers amidst small explosions. Smoke and mirrors swirl around him.
He hears her voice on the reggae wind gently singing, "Die young,stay pretty". That can't be it, he thinks. Something is wrong, definitely wrong.
"Live fast because it won't last"...true but a self fulfilling prophesy, he thinks, "yellow is the color of my true love's hair"...altho if it's dyed I don't think that counts but then the scene changes again like a screensaver gone haywire.
"Hard times for a DuckBoy. Nobody ever prepared me for this"...
